Bill Barrett: Volunteer of the Year Award 2020

We would like to take a moment to thank CARE volunteer and board member, Bill Barrett (CARE Chicago), for his dedication and impact. Bill devotes his time to making a difference in the CARE community and leads our national education committee, helping us create new and innovative ways to reach the youth and spread awareness about financial literacy education.

“It is people like Bill who make a difference and allow CARE to make a difference.” -Hon. John Ninfo II, US Bankruptcy Judge Western-District of New York (Ret.), CARE Founder

From everyone at CARE, we are honored to present Bill with the 2020 Volunteer of the Year Award at our upcoming Power Hour Celebration on December 8th. This year more than ever, our volunteers are going above and beyond to reach our youth in new and innovative ways, sharing life-changing stories that empower the next generation for financial success. During these uncertain times, Bill’s work has helped CARE get into classrooms (virtually), use technology in creative and new ways to share CARE’s curriculum, and help CARE continue its mission.

“We are thrilled that our own Bill Barrett has been chosen for this honor. He is an incredible volunteer and leader. Year after year, Bill surpasses all of the other Chicago volunteers in number of presentations while also working tirelessly on our board, as well as being the chair of the National Education Committee.” -Hon. Janet Baer, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Northern District of Illinois

Thank you for all that you do, Bill!
