BadCredit.org: Industry Experts Volunteer to Lead Credit Abuse Resistance Education (CARE) Programs, Bridging the Student Financial Literacy Gap
On October 25, 2018, BadCredit.org published an article highlighting the CARE mission of financial education and the state of financial literacy in the country. This article is an update of an article published in 2016.
BadCredit interviewed CARE Programs Manager Ian Redman about his views on the state of financial education and his personal financial story.
Redman said he sometimes laughs to himself when he sees a new article about how millennials are killing a certain industry or negatively impacting the real estate market. He knows the financial decisions millennials are making — not buying the expensive diamond engagement ring or delaying home ownership — have less to do with some revolutionary mindset and more to do with things like managing high student loan debt.
The article also highlighted the new materials that CARE has featured on its website, found the curriculum page.
