CARE Chicago is one of CARE’s original and longest operating chapters. Covering both Chicago and the immediate suburbs of Chicagoland, the chapter is comprised of approximately 100 volunteers and reaches dozens of schools each year. As a volunteer group, they have pioneered many CARE advances over the years including our new chapter website template, an online volunteer management tool, and a dedicated leadership structure (shown below). In 2019, the chapter underwent its first-ever leadership transition as CARE Chicago Founder and National Board Member Joe Schorer turned over the reins to new chapter leader, Harold Israel.
