About Us

CARE Los Angeles has reached over 3000 students since September of 2018. We tailor our presentations to the audience that needs us. Specifically, whether a first generation college seeker or a future skilled tradesman or a first generation English speaker, our information focuses upon the real world application of credit and budget concepts. We reach students before they have debt and educate them on the need to responsibly manage their finances. We have also added a segment addressing “paying for college” to our presentations so that we can help college seekers of all demographics succeed.

Testimonials

  • “The thing that surprised me the most in the years I have spent volunteering is how interested the kids are in learning the information we provide; and the fact that schools do not traditionally teach anything about financial literacy. We constantly hear teachers say how they wish they had been taught this information when they were in school.” -Sharon Kopman, CARE Los Angeles Volunteer
