About Us

CARE stands for Credit Abuse Resistance Education. CARE is a national non-profit comprised of professionals in bankruptcy, financial services, and business. We volunteer our time to educate young adults and others about the benefits of personal financial management and the consequences of credit abuse. Borrowing from our professional experiences, we tell true stories about financial distress and the impact it can have on one’s life.

Testimonials

  • “My most memorable moment of being a volunteer is when class is over and the students come up under the pretense of thanking me but are really there to ask some tough questions about their own personal family situations. That connection with the students and their obvious absorption of the presentation and reflection about what it means to them personally is the immediate payoff you get from doing a CARE presentation.” -Patrick Clisham, CARE Board Member and Volunteer
